Raising Awareness

With our grassroots approach

“stories from the ground”,

we aim at giving the stage to the marginalized to directly voice out their concerns about the issues dear to our heart:

social protection

welfare system

social justice

Instead of re-circulating the discussions only among experts & activists about the forgotten, this time around we choose to bring back the importance of discussing extreme inequality—an issue relatively considered non-urgent in the midst of national euphoria: promising GDP growth for Indonesia as one of the largest economies in the world in 2030—by

listening directly from the impacted.

From creating a mini documentary about a day in the life of an Indonesian waste picker, considered as the forgotten man in the pyramid of population, to interviewing those segments who are more enabled yet extremely vulnerable like online bike drivers & non-certified electricity technicians,

we aim at raising awareness both to the grassroot communities and to the middle-up communities

that the issue of widening gap in Indonesia will only become worse in the coming decades if every segment of the society, especially the bottom and the middle segment are not mobilized to fight against the institutionalization of poverty.
